This is a newer design, with a riveted black POM handle - a plastic composite material that's very durable and easy to clean. The blade is forged stainless steel with Pikas Spade insignia, and an overall length of 10 7/8".
Friedr Herder Abr Sohn company is the longest continually operating knife making operation in Solingen Germany. Its famous Pikas spade logo was registered in 1727 although their place in Solingen’s blade making traces further back.
